Exceptional Training and Experience
Orthodontic problems can be complex, involving skeletal growth issues, problems with the alignment of teeth, and space management for crowded teeth. Orthodontists train an additional two to three years in a post-doctoral, university based residency program to learn the special skills necessary to treat these complex cases. Dr. Smith completed his undergraduate and doctoral dental degree at the University of Washington, and his residency in orthodontics with a Masters Degree at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Hi is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by only 25% of the practicing orthodontists. Dr. Smith and his team train in the latest techniques to serve your family better.
Advanced Diagnostic Tools
At SmithOrthodontics we use the most advanced techniques and materials available. Our state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine decreases x-ray exposure by 40 to 70% and allows us to communicate important information electronically with other Doctors on your health care team. Our light activated adhesives and new generation orthodontic appliances allow us to achieve results not possible just a few years ago.

While we love creating beautiful smiles, we are also aware of our influence in the community. We strive to make Spokane a great place for our families to enjoy. We support many local sports teams, charities, scout groups and individuals in their quest to improve the lives of those who live here.
